ENROLMENTS

Hillpark Primary School has an enrolment policy in place to define criteria for enrolment.  Admission to the school is dependent on where you live. Children who live in zone have an absolute right to attend the school.  Enrolments  for children  who  live  in  zone  are  accepted  throughout  the  year. A  copy  of  the enrolment zone map, together with a Ministry of Education description of the zone and list of streets within our school zone, is available from the school.

Children living outside the zone can make an out of zone application, and places for out of zone children will be allotted by way of a ballot. Ministerial regulations controlling the ballot will be strictly adhered to.

The  Board  of  Trustees  shall  decide annually  how  many,  if  any,  places  will  be available  for  out  of  zone students at each year level taking into account existing and projected rolls.

It is important to note that schools do not necessarily hold a ballot each year. Information regarding both  in-zone and out of zone enrolment is available from the school office.

Please enrol your child as soon as they turn 4.

Before an enrolment can be processed we require the following information:  All parents need to provide a child’s birth certificate/passport  (Originals must be sighted). If you are not a New Zealand resident/citizen you will also need to bring the child's original passport and parent's original passports including all relevant visas.
